Werner (1974[link]) has given exact solutions to the transport equations in terms of tabulated functions. However, for the simple crystal described above, a sufficiently accurate expression is [E(2\theta)=E_{{L}}\cos\!{^2}\,\theta +E_{{B}}\sin\!{^2}\,\theta. \eqno (6.4.7.1)]
