The conventional unit cell of UO2. Only the positions of the magnetic U4+ ions are shown. The vectors [{\bf a}_1], [{\bf a}_2], [{\bf a}_3] form a basis of a primitive cell of the crystallographic lattice; [{\boldmu}_1], [{\boldmu}_2], [{\boldmu}_3], [{\boldmu}_4] are the magnetic moments of the ions belonging to the four magnetic lattices.
