Electronic resources for Volume G

This CD-ROM contains STAR and CIF specifications, dictionaries, software libraries and applications. Where appropriate, links are provided to web addresses from which the current versions of an item should be available. The material on this CD-ROM may be useful for educational purposes, for access to unsupported and legacy software, and as a convenient resource if access to the web or to individual web sites is unavailable.

• Resources supplementing individual chapters (including synopses, colour or larger versions of figures, additional documentation, historical material, useful links and enhanced reference lists).
• Specifications of file formats, syntax and permitted content.
• Dictionaries of CIF, DDL and MIF data items in browsable and machine-readable formats.
• Software for reading, writing and manipulating CIF data, with some useful end-user crystallographic applications.
