4.6. Image dictionary (imgCIF)

Abstract
This chapter presents the contents of the image CIF dictionary (imgCIF).
The data names defined in the imgCIF dictionary complement those of the mmCIF dictionary and should be used for the storage of synchrotron diffraction images and relevant details of the diffraction experiment. The data names may also be used in the crystallographic binary file representation of such images.
Version 1.3.2 of the imgCIF dictionary contains definitions for 125 data items grouped in 20 categories (including 14 categories that do not appear in the mmCIF dictionary).
