cif2sx

Description

cif2sx is a stand-alone program that will take as input a legal CIF and output a legal SHELXL instruction file. A SHELX file for each data_ block may be obtained.

Status

The program is active but its preferred distribution is integrated within the WinGX program system.

Language and platform

The software is written in Fortran and should compile and run in a command-line environment on any common operating system with a Fortran compiler. A Linux executable is included in the source directory. The program system WinGX includes the functionality of this program within an integrated MS-Windows system of programs for solving, refining and analysing single crystal X-ray diffraction data for small molecules.
