The image CIF dictionary (imgCIF) defines data names and categories used to record diffraction images and associated experimental metadata in imgCIF or crystallographic binary (CBF) files. Use of this dictionary is described in Chapter 3.12. The CBF format is described in Chapter 2.3 and Chapter 5.3 describes a software library for manipulating image data.

Keywords: image-supporting Crystallographic Information File; imgCIF; Crystallographic Binary File; CBF; array data; data arrays; data collection; diffraction scans; experimental measurements; image data; imgCIF dictionary; intensity measurement.
