Abstract

The definitions given in this chapter were developed by a Working Group of the Commission on XAFS of the International Union of Crystallography (IUCr), and now form part of the IUCr's Online Dictionary of Crystallography at . The aims of the project were to identify ambiguous or incorrect usage of XAFS expressions in the scientific literature and to propose currently used definitions that could eventually be improved through open debate.
